Familiarity often breeds passivity; because we grew up singing the childhood song about the “wee little man,” we frequently overlook the radical, scandalous grace displayed in this scene.
Most of us live our lives as if we are constantly auditioning for God’s attention, wondering, “Am I good enough? Am I loveable? Am I worthy?” This message dismantles the myth that we must clean up our lives before Jesus will enter them.
