Weekly Service
Volunteers

Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled service time to check in, attend your service huddle, connect with your team, and prepare to receive the kids safely.

A huddle is a time for building community, learning about important announcements, and preparing your heart to pour into the lives of the kids you will serve for that day.

Kids’ ministry spaces open 20 minutes before service starts for all services. This means all kids’ ministry volunteers need to be in the rooms and spaces they are serving 25 minutes before the service starts.

Build relationships, have fun, and talk about Jesus while engaging with kids.

Our team will prepare everything you need to serve. All curricula are available on-site and can be previewed on Planning Center Services for advanced preparation.

How many times a month should I serve?

Building relationships and consistency is vital for success in Kids Ministry. We ask that you serve weekly.

Do I have to pass a background check?

Everyone over 18 must pass a background check before serving in a Bethlehem Kids environment.

How old do I have to be to serve with Bethlehem Kids?

Students are eligible to serve starting in 6th grade.

Is there a dress code?

In all of our Bethlehem Kids environments, we have FUN! We recommend you wear the Bethlehem Kids shirt we provide and come dressed ready to fully engage, whether building blocks on the floor or jumping around in worship.

Should I attend a service as well as serve one?

Yes! It is vital to your spiritual growth that you do not give up attending a service to serve. With many service options, we ask that you choose one to attend and one to serve.

Can my kids attend Bethlehem Kids for multiple services while I serve one and attend one?

Absolutely! We would love to have your kids join us for multiple services so you can serve and still enjoy the adult worship experience distraction-free.
