Serve with Bethlehem Students

Welcome to Bethlehem Students! We’re honored that you’re interested in serving with us. We believe that teenagers are at a pivotal stage in their lives where they need people, a sense of belonging, care, and guidance to follow Jesus!

Watch this video to learn more about what it looks like to serve with Student Ministry!

Middle School

Sundays at 9:15 and 11:15 AM

Our middle school ministry (grades 6-8) meets every Sunday morning at all campuses for games, teaching, and Life Groups.

All volunteers are encouraged to show up 30 minutes before service begins to serve, lead, and care for the students at that service.

MDWK

Wednesdays at 7 PM

MDWK is our student worship service (grades 6-12), which meets every Wednesday night for fun, worship, teaching, and small groups.

Leaders are expected to attend the leader meeting at 6 PM at each campus and serve throughout the service and small groups.

FAQS

What are the different serving opportunities at Bethlehem Students?

During our student ministry services, there are multiple serving teams: small group team, greeter team, café team, safety team, and band.

Do I have to pass a background check?

Everyone over 18 must pass a background check before serving with students.

Do I have to serve every week?

Our win is seeing teenagers take steps toward owning their faith. Consistency and intentionality are huge factors in our ability to lead and care for teenagers well. We are also aware that life can get busy, and different seasons of life require more flexibility, so we typically ask volunteers for three out of four weeks of the month.

What if I realize two weeks in that this is not the right fit for me?

Our goal is to assist you in finding a place to serve that aligns with your gifts, passions, and availability. Therefore, our onboarding process consists of four weeks of shadowing the different aspects of our weekly programs. This onboarding period is for you to find a place in our ministry to belong to and take ownership of it with no commitment beforehand.

Is there a dress code?

All adult volunteers must wear the lanyard our ministry staff will provide you. No specific attire is required as long as the dress is modest and promotes a God-honoring witness to our students.
