Dilemma of Doubt

January 5, 2025

As we step into 2025, many of us are carrying a quiet, persistent companion: doubt. Whether it’s uncertainty about our own adequacy, fear of the future, or questions about God’s presence in our current circumstances, doubt is a universal part of the human experience.

Pastor Jason Britt compares two powerful scenes from the life of Jesus: a father in Mark 9 who had every reason to doubt, and the disciples in Matthew 28 who had no reason to doubt—yet both struggled. Jason identifies four specific layers of doubt that become the “white noise” of our lives: doubting ourselves, our future, our setting, and ultimately, God Himself. This message is a call to stop letting doubt drive your discontentment and instead move toward a pure faith that trusts God one day at a time.
