Humility
What is humility? How do we become more humble?
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” - Philippians 2:5-8 ESV
Jesus was in the form of God; ONE with God, and yet He did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped. How often do we think we know better and try to take control of situations? We won’t say out loud that we think we are equal to God, but sometimes our actions show that we would like to be. So, how do we become more like Christ? We humble ourselves and serve others. “Humility is not thinking less of yourself; it’s thinking of yourself less.” We are consumed with ourselves, our schedules, and our desires, but we are called to something greater than ourselves.
Now, I’m not saying you have to submit yourself to the point of death on a cross, but we all can give up something by serving someone else.

- Who has the Lord placed in your life that sometimes feels like a burden but could really be someone you could encourage and love?
