Bethlehem Residency Program
We believe that as God has positioned our church for growth and kingdom impact, we must be good stewards and train the next generation of healthy leaders and pastors.
What is the Bethlehem
Residency Program?
The Bethlehem Church Residency Program is for college graduates who have a calling towards vocational ministry and are looking for the necessary experience within a healthy learning environment. Each Resident will be placed in a position to thrive in their strengths while exploring other areas where they can grow. At Bethlehem Church, we want more FOR you than FROM you. We are honored and humbled to be in a position as a church to help develop and send out young men and women who are strong in their faith, know their identity in Christ, and are confident of their calling and passions within ministry.

IS THERE A MINIMUM/MAXIMUM AGE?
Yes. The minimum age for the Residency Program is 22, and the applicant must have a completed undergraduate degree. There is no maximum age, but the Program is designed to help a college student transition to full-time ministry, therefore making the age range 22-27.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE?
At Bethlehem Church, an undergraduate degree is required to enter the Residency Program. The Program is designed to help graduates who already have a calling to ministry within the local church and are looking for hands-on experience.
CAN I HAVE ANOTHER JOB WHILE I'M IN THE RESIDENCY PROGRAM?
A part-time job, yes. The Residency Program requires 20-hours of work per week. We work hard to protect our residents' time so they can get a part-time job within our community to supplement their income if needed.
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE RESIDENCY PROGRAM AND A SUMMER INTERNSHIP?
Calling, education, and length of time are the main differences. The Residency program is an 18-month program for a recent college graduate who has been specifically called to vocational ministry and is looking to get experience through the local church. The Summer Internship is an opportunity for current college students to experience one season of ministry as they seek God's calling on their life.
DO I NEED TO BE ALREADY ATTENDING BETHLEHEM CHURCH TO BE A RESIDENT?
No. However, if you are called to ministry, you are attending somewhere. Let us know where you are attending and serving.
DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN RESIDENCE HOUSING?
No, it is only an opportunity, not a requirement.
WHAT DOES THE HOUSING ARRANGEMENT LOOK LIKE?
Housing is provided by Bethlehem Church host home families.
IS IT A PAID POSITION?
Yes. Currently, minimum wage.
WILL I BE HIRED AT BETHLEHEM CHURCH FULL-TIME AT THE END OF THE PROGRAM?
We would love that, but ultimately the goal is to place you somewhere growing and healthy, even if it's not at Bethlehem. Two things will always be required for full-time employment here: We must have an open position at the time, and you will need to be the right person for the position.
